File Coordinator Remote

ExamWorks Compliance Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Medicare File Coordinator. Medicare knowledge or experience is a PLUS

The File Coordinator is responsible to ensure information is entered correctly and to the highest quality and integrity and is in full compliance with client contractual agreements, regulatory agency standards, and/or federal and state mandates. This position is required to assist the customer service team and provide overall support to the Customer Service Department

This is a remote full-time position with a standard work schedule Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm. It may be necessary to work overtime depending on business needs.

  1. Responsibilities
  2. Performs quality assurance reviews of information, correspondences, and files
  3. Ensures all cases contain the correct information for the examination process
  4. Audits files to ensure that all client instructions and specifications have been followed
  5. Completes and ensures all examination fees are quoted daily and are in accordance with company practices
  6. Ensures that the appropriate board specialty has received the case in compliance with client specifications and/or state mandates and is documented accurately
  7. Assists with data entry of billing information
  8. When necessary, notifies management of any case issue or concerns requiring management’s attention
  9. Ensures all practices are carried out in accordance with HIPAA compliance practices, state and federal safety standards, and legal regulations
  10. Calls for invoices from physicians
  11. Assists with mail as needed
  12. Assists with the scanning of documents
  13. Qualifications
  14. Minimum 1-3 years of administrative clerical experience.
  15. Must have strong knowledge of multiple software programs, including but not limited to
  16. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
  17. Must demonstrate exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information
  18. accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed.
  19. Must be able to work independently, prioritize work activities, and use time efficiently.
  20. Must possess the ability to manage change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately.
  21. Medicare experience is a plus
