OpenSea is seeking a talented and dynamic Brand and Visual Designer to lead our design initiatives as we navigate an exciting period of rebranding and new product launches. This individual will be at the forefront of shaping OpenSea’s visual identity, blending expertise in brand development with a keen sense of visual design to engage our millions of users.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of OpenSea’s brand and visual design, ensuring a cohesive and appealing aesthetic that resonates with the crypto and web3 communities.
- Create high-quality visual content including brand graphics, illustrations, logos, and animations for digital platforms such as our website, social media, and email campaigns.
- Work closely with the executive team to set the strategic direction for OpenSea’s brand, aligning with the company’s vision and objectives for a major rebranding effort.
- Collaborate with partners on co-marketing plans, playing a pivotal role in crafting innovative and playful marketing strategies, especially within the gaming sector.
- Direct and manage end-to-end brand and marketing projects, from conceptualization to execution, including product and marketing launches, with a focus on crafting a recognizable and respected brand identity.
- Stay at the cutting edge of design trends within the crypto, gaming, and broader digital space, bringing fresh, opinionated perspectives on UI/UX design and brand development.
Desired Experience:
- Proven track record in brand and visual design, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design management, particularly in brand or marketing launches.
- Experience within the crypto, web3, or related exciting domains such as gaming, evidenced by professional work or passionate side projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual and motion graphics demonstrating an ability to bring dynamic and engaging visuals to life, enhancing the brand’s storytelling and user engagement.
- A deep understanding of the web3 community’s culture and aesthetics and prior experience or active participation in NFT or crypto projects, with the ability to incorporate this vibe into OpenSea’s brand in a polished and distinctive manner.
- Strategic thinker with strong communication and leadership skills, capable of directing a team, including contractors, and guiding the executive team on modern design trends and strategic brand direction tied to the company’s goals.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, capable of making decisions that align with the company’s vision and goals.
- Exceptional skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and familiarity with emerging (AI) design tools and software.
The base salary for this full-time position, which spans across multiple internal levels depending on qualifications, ranges between $205,000 to $305,000 plus benefits & equity.
