We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage the more complicated general ledger accounting including accounting for leases under ASC 842, capitalizing internally developed software and revaluing warrants. In addition, you will be responsible for the monthly financial close, the documentation of processes and the writing of technical accounting memos for unique and complex transactions.
What you’ll do as the Senior Technical Accountant at Proof:
Account for leases under ASC 842
Calculate and amortize Internally Developed Software including maintaining process with Engineering leaders to ensure accuracy
Record Stock based comp on a monthly basis, maintain black scholes inputs as needed and contribute to annual 409A valuation process
Perform general journaling and analysis on assigned general ledger accounts across the entire G/L on a monthly basis to ensure balances are reconciled and variances to budgets/forecasts are explained
Provide commentary and support for monthly flux review of income statement and balance sheet
Commissions/ bonus accounting for accrual basis accounting
Debt accounting / covenant reporting assistance and revaluation of warrants
Intercompany accounting
Assist in monthly external financial reporting package preparation and review
Help with year-end financial audit and annual controls review
Implement financial controls within your functional area
What we’re looking for:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Business from an accredited College/University required
5-7 years of experience, preferably SAAS/software or high-tech environment
1- 3 years public experience preferred not required
Proficient with automated general ledger / ERP applications
While this role is remote and can work from anywhere in the U.S., we need this person to work on Eastern time
Experience with all accounting areas including, but not limited to accrual based accounting, and, equity and debt US GAAP standards

$100,000 – $125,000 a year
This is the expected cash compensation range for this position.
